LOCAL ACTIVITIES

Killorglin is a bustling town in the heart of county Kerry. It is located at the gateway to both the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula and within driving distance of the towns of Killarney, Kenmare and Dingle. The town offers a great selection of traditional Irish pubs and restaurant and a myriad of activities to keep you busy during your stay.

GOLF

Dooks, one of the oldest links courses in Ireland is located just 7 miles from Killorglin offering spectacular views over Dooks, Rossbeigh and Dingle Bay. Killorglin itself boasts a scenic 18 hole course. Beaufort, Killarney, Tralee, Ballybunion, Waterville and Kenmare are all within driving distances of Killorglin and on the Ring of Kerry.

PUCK FAIR

Held every year on the 10th, 11th & 12th of August Killorglin plays host to one of Ireland’s oldest street festivals -Puck Fair. Events include a traditional parade and coronation of King Puck (the goat), horse fair, street entertainment with buskers from all over Ireland and further a field. Open air concerts and fireworks display are other major draws to the festival. And of course lots of Guinness on tap!

WALKING

Carrauntuohill, Ireland’s largest peak is but a short drive from Killorglin. The McGuillycuddy Reeks, The Kerry Way and many country and seaside walks make Killorglin a great base for exploring the Kerry landscape on foot.

ANGLING

Killorglin is situated on the River Laune which boasts excellent salmon fishing and brown trout from the Killarney Lakes.
